About English Institute of Sport - Sheffield

Opened in December 2003 the English Institute of Sport – Sheffield (EISS) is one of the country’s most impressive indoor sports training facilities.

The venue offers a range of high quality sports performance areas including the World Snooker Academy, Judo, Combat, Netball, Badminton and an Athletics Arena complete with 200m 6-lane track and throws area.

The Institute is also home to representatives of a number of National Governing Bodies including England Athletics, British Judo, England Netball, England Basketball, England Volleyball, British Handball and the Amateur Boxing Association.

The Institute is committed to the development of UK sport at all levels and welcomes both the local sporting community and elite athletes to benefit from the state of the art facility.
