About Sheffield Students Union

Sheffield Students' Union proudly hosts live music, contemporary dance, comedy, club nights, spoken word and arts events. Comprising 9 different venues including the Octagon and Fusion & Foundry. Come and experience our brilliant facilities at the show of your choice.

The Foundry

The Union’s number 1 club venue, which also regularly plays host to many of the big name live acts who come to play Sheffield. The Foundry is located on level 2 of the Students union building, western bank. Capacity of 1000, tickets sold on a general admission basis.

The venue is situated on Western Bank just outside Sheffield City Centre. Visitors are encouraged to use public transport wherever possible. The Octagon has good accessibility by bus and tram but nearby parking is restricted.

The Octagon

Sheffield University's union, The Octagon holds 1,500 and is synonymous in Sheffield with sell out crowds watching the cream of what contemporary live music has to offer.

All tickets for The Octagon are sold on a standing general admission basis unless stated otherwise.

The Octagon is situated on Western Bank just outside Sheffield City Centre. Located at the heart of the University Campus visitors are encouraged to use public transport wherever possible.
