Booking Office
The Box Office is open to personal callers from Monday to Saturday between 9am and 6pm.
Please note that Box Office is currently located on Red Concourse due to a refurbishment taking place at the usual Entry C Box Office. If you are unable to use the stairs up to the Red Concourse, please go to Entry A for assistance.
On the day of a concert on sale the box office usually opens at 9am. Box Office is open on Sundays only when an event is taking place, from midday until half an hour after the advertised start time of the event. Payment can be made by cash, cheque, Mastercard, Visa or Debit cards. For events taking place at the Motorpoint Arena no additional charges are made for cash or cheque bookings with a 5% fee for Debit and Credit Card transactions. Tickets booked for any event not performaing at the Motorpoint Arena are subject to a 10% fee however the tickets are paid for.
Always check with the Box Office on 0114 256 56 56 before you travel to ensure you have the most up to date opening time information.
The Box Office is located at Entrance C on the ground floor and has a purpose built low level counter installed with a hearing loop - there is ample parking outside the entrance.
Venue queuing policy
On the day a show goes on sale we allow customers to queue up to purchase tickets in person from the Arena Box Office, but only on the day that the show goes on sale.
People queuing before this will be asked to return on the day that the show goes on sale. We will exercise our right not to serve anyone who refuses to comply with this policy.
This policy was introduced following incidents that have happened whilst customers queued outside the Arena to buy tickets. We owe a duty of care to anyone who decides to queue on our land and it was clear after investigations that we were not in a position to fulfil this obligation for customers who were often queuing for several days and some cases weeks at a time.
We were unable to provide staff to monitor the queue and ensure safety; the area isn't suitable for people camping out exposed to the elements; we often have events in the Arena that require clear entrance / exit through the area where the queues have formed; we have no services available such as toilet and wash facilities.
We are fully aware that for some fans queuing to buy tickets is part of the fan experience. We are not trying to prevent this, but simply place manageable parameters to enable customers to be able to purchase tickets safely.
Telephone Bookings
Credit/Debit Card bookings can be made on the credit card hotline, 0114 256 56 56 between 9am and 9pm Monday to Saturday.
If you are purchasing concessionary tickets you may be asked to provide evidence that you are entitled to purchase tickets at the concessionary rate when your tickets are checked as you enter the venue - if you are unable to provide this evidence you will not be admitted into the venue and will be required to purchase tickets at full price. Please note that the age at which a child qualifies for concessionary rates varies from event to event, therefore please check the age limit on the specific events page before booking.
Standing tickets purchased online or through the credit card hotline are subject to special delivery charge of £4.80 per order. However, if your ticket is a new style ticket and has a bar code printed on it you do not have to use special delivery and you will be given alternative options by the telephone operator.
Each year throughout July and August the box office telephone lines will close at 6pm on Saturdays.
Mastercard, Visa and Switch Cards are all accepted.
All telephone sales are subject to a booking fee (contact the box office for details).
During an on sale the telephone lines will be very busy - when high volumes of calls are being experienced you may be held in a queue or receive and engaged tone - all phone lines will be open, please be patient or book online or in person at the venue.
